Logistics companies fear that carriers, specifically in the trucking sector, will suffer from labor shortages in the hundreds of thousands within the next decade. One solution to this problem is the development of autonomous vehicles. UPS recently announced to continue its partnership with Tusimple. The partnership has been utilizing level 3 autonomous vehicles for delivering goods and claims that level 4 autonomy is on the cusp. This level of autonomy would allow cars to drive themselves with minimal correction by a driver.
